The 2011 Melburn Roobaix

Last week I participated in the 2011 Melburn Roobaix, a spoof of the Paris Roobaix and endearingly called The Hell of the Northcote. It was a wonderful fun time with an amazing course through the cobblestones, laneways, streets, drain pipes, hillocks and muddy inclined slopes of Melbourne. There were some who rode in costume, the highlights being the colourful strangely fluro polka dot man, the two women dressed up as Power Rangers on a tandem bike, and the three men on a tandem bike dressed as Vikings and resembling a Viking ship.

Here are some photos (more here).
